Profile: Senior Python Developer Responsibilities:

Work as an Individual Contributor developing Python services
Understands the technical specifications to guide system architectural design and development and review QA tasks to ensure completeness of requirements
Leads the design and review of test cases to ensure tests adequately meet the requirements
Deliver high-quality, self-documenting code
Collaborate with the team via pair programming as well as actively participating in code reviews

Requirements:

Minimum 4 years’ experience delivering technology solutions/applications, ideally in a financial environment.
Excellent understanding of Python, and experience delivering applications with these technologies
Experience of Pandas is a must
Ability to code in an object-oriented manner.
Fluent English is a must
Experience of unit and end-to-end testing
Experience using version control (git)
Knowledge of SQL– Stored Procedures & Database Architecture
Web experience desirable but not essential
Experience working with Agile methodologies
Ability to face off to business users to gather requirements, set expectations & maintain relationships

Good to Have Skills:

Knowledge of Financial Instruments desirable but not essential
Ability to work on multitask
Strong technical writing skills and ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, analytical concepts to a range of client and internal audiences
Strong attention to detail; action-oriented attitude; and willingness to roll up sleeves
Knowledge of any other scripting languages like Perl is desirable
