Chief Design Engineer - Automation (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Chief Design Engineer - Automation to join our team in Oberursel as soon as possible.

Main tasks:

• Carrying out conceptdevelopment, basic and detailed engineering with a focus on automation incooperation with project engineers from other disciplines
  
• Study of tenderdocuments, bid processing and cost determination
• Preparation oftechnical requisitions for automation systems
• Preparation ofautomation concepts with special attention to the integration of so-called"package units" (provided by the customer or the client)
• Drawing up specifications for all equipment’s ofautomation technology
• Develop projectdocumentation for input to automation system supplier, such as cause &effects, functional descriptions, system control diagrams, program sequencedescriptions, I/O list, philosophies etc)
• Follow up automationsystem supplier from PO to delivery, reviewing and approving documents (such assignal list, topology drawing, procedures, screen layouts, etc), andparticipating in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
• Bid comparisons andtechnical support of the purchasing department in the procurement of automationequipment
• Support of suppliersduring implementation planning and preparation of final documentation
• Quality monitoring atmanufacturers (in the sense of supporting order processing and maintainingknowledge of the current state of the art)
• Contribute to the functional safety process and preparethe required PCM documentation / calculations
• Participate ininspections and tests at suppliers and construction sites for erection supportas well as customer handovers 
• Coordinate automationengineering issues with other trades such as electrical, process, plant, pipingand civil engineering

Your qualifications:

• Bachelor or Masterdegree in a relevant study
  
• Fluent in English and Germanboth written and orally 
  
• For oil and gas (if relevant), experience from offshoreprojects, knowledge about API RP 14C, Norsok standard and DNV rules andregulations
  
• willingness to travel
