How to contribute to our vision

The Head of Site Technical Services will be reporting to the Head of Joint Operation and will be fully responsible for the Site Technical Services team in the Germany Offshore Service organization. The main responsibility is to manage the Production Engineer community as well as a dedicated team of Site Managers and (A)OCs. Working location will be predominantly in Hamburg BTC including on demand business travels.


Among your tasks you will:

  • Proactively drive HSE through visible safety leadership and suitable programs.
  • Set standards, expectations, guidelines and establish a strong safety culture in area of responsibility to achieve an incident and injury free project execution in alignment with our zero-harm ambition.
  • Lead and manage a team of Production Engineers to improve turbine availability systematically across GER1&2
  • Lead and manage a central team of white-collar site personnel (Site Managers and (A)OC's) which will support Offshore Service Sites 
  • Drive and encourage innovation, continuous improvement and standardization in own area of responsibility and beyond
  • Budget responsibility for the white-collar team 
  • Support Head of Joint Operations in strategic, operational and transformation topics
  • Plan in alignment with Head of Operational Planning and Coordination and Service Operations Managers the best-case allocation of assigned white collar site personnel
  • Lead, mentor and develop the team in line with our corporate values

What you need to make a difference

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration
  • Track record in Offshore Wind or similar; knowledge of the Siemens Gamesa turbines would be an advantage
  • A minimum of 5 years of business experience in a comparable role – preferably operational experience in the offshore wind business or in another relevant field
  • Demonstrating strong leadership skills; previous experience in leading a mid-sized team
  • Awareness and ownership to drive quality and safety topics.
  • Passion for operations and safety and the ability to systematically manage a diverse portfolio of topics and teams
  • Strong leadership and communication skills (incl. very good English skills, German skills considered an advantage)
  • Profound experience in managing and developing strong and trustful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to travel including on demand Offshore Site visits
