A medium-size business, our client employs around 1000 staff and is looking to expand and grow. How does that sound? What you can expect:



  1. You will focus on the administration of all network and security components such as Router, Switches, load balancer, firewall systems

  2. Together with your team, you will ensure the operation of the network infrastructure as part of IT service and incident management and support users and colleagues in their daily challenges (2nd & 3rd level support, on-call service)

  3. By contributing your ideas and working together with IT Security, you will design and create a network that fulfils modern security requirements

  4. You are part of our client’s vision: Your impulses, your ideas and your commitment support our client’s philosophy of a contemporary approach, a DevOps mindset, a fast, agile implementation of new product ideas using state-of-the-art technologies and an appreciative cooperation


What you offer:



  1. You have successfully completed your (specialised) university degree in (business) informatics or have a comparable qualification

  2. Ideally, you have already gained relevant professional experience in the administration of complex network infrastructures

  3. You are familiar with IP technologies and related areas, so you are familiar with terms such as VoIP, TCP/IP, VLAN, VXLAN, MPLS, QoS

  4. You are familiar with common Firewall technologies and you are also familiar with topics such as 802.1x authentication, VPN / WLAN and dynamic routing protocols.

  5. You are confident in the Cisco world and familiar with terms such as Catalyst, ACI, ISE, Nexus or DNA

  6. Further knowledge in the interface to IT security is welcome, but not mandatory

  7. You may have certifications in the network environment (e.g. CCNA or similar)

  8. Operational work (such as installation, configuration, operation, monitoring and integration of network and firewall components into the operating infrastructure) motivates you

  9. In addition to your technical expertise, you have quality awareness, a customer- and results-orientated way of working and a high level of self-motivation

  10. You are enthusiastic about establishing innovative technologies together with your team, you approach topics proactively and utilise creative freedom

  11. You are a team player and impress with your open, friendly and supportive demeanour

  12. You have a very good command of written and spoken German and English
