Marketing Business Partner m/f/d *, MÜNCHEN

Munich Re's Global Marketing Communications team is responsible for strategizing, planning, and executing marketing and communication programs across various business lines, including Property & Casualty (P&C), Facultative & Corporates (F&C), and Life & Health (L&H).
We are looking for an analytical, service-oriented Marketing Business Partner to join our global marketing team. This role involves providing strategic marketing consulting and advice support to Client Management and Experts within Munich Re's Business Units.
Based in Munich, you will provide marketing support across sales and corporate marketing areas, including client engagement activities, lead generation initiatives, and thought leadership efforts. The goal is to enhance business outcomes and support growth objectives by effectively positioning Munich Re's offerings with clients and stakeholders, thereby increasing brand awareness and business value. You will be responsible for building and leading the integrated marketing and communications plan for a defined group of business units including regularly engaging the business leaders on the progress and outcomes of planned activities. In this role, you will report to the Head of Marketing Communications for Europe, Latin America and Global Clients.

Your Job

  • Plan, execute and budget for high-impact marketing and communication programs and activities
  • Partner with key business stakeholders to understand market needs and identify marketing opportunities to align with sales objectives and market positioning
  • Provide internal marketing consultancy services, including competitor analysis, market research and go-to-market strategies
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to effectively execute marketing and communications deliverables
  • Define comprehensive sales and marketing KPIs to measure return on investment and ensure targeted marketing activities
  • Navigate organizational complexities and dynamics adeptly to mitigate resistance and foster collaboration across the regional teams
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the regional colleagues, providing insights and recommendations on managing relationships and influencing outcomes

Your Profile

  • 8+ years of marketing, business development, sales management or management consulting experience
  • Advanced degree in marketing or business administration or an MBA with a proven track record of leadership and achievement
  • Proficiency in formulating and executing marketing strategies and campaigns to acquire new clients and increase brand awareness
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and digital skills
  • Excellent presentation and moderation skills
  • Extensive experience briefing and managing internal functions, agencies and vendors
  • A service-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Resilience and adaptability to ambiguity
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management and networking skills
  • Fluent in German and English
