Your Tasks

- In this position you will be responsible on a global level to manage QIAGEN's reagents and assays for classical and digital PCR and to interact closely across organizations to leverage technical and functional knowledge of dPCR, qPCR, sample technologies and instruments and to develop long-term strategies for our portfolio

- You will develop and maintain a quantitative market model for your portfolio and component of various categories, such as segmentation principles, competitive forces, application drivers and fundamentals of technologies

- You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to define, develop, validate, approve requirements to guide product development concepts and cover target markets with products designed with required value propositions and application data

- Portfolio optimization via price adjustment, life cycle management, harmonization and integration of product lines, as well as repositioning and business cases for organic investments are also your responsibility; you also keep an eye on external growth opportunities and act here as a key business stakeholder for the integration of the acquired units

Your Profile

- You have at least a Master's degree or higher in life sciences and bring a minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in various product management and cross-functional roles related to classical or digital or molecular biology with a focus on strategic portfolio management, market analysis, business case development

- With your excellent understanding of natural sciences in general and translation into applied workflows in classical PCR and dPCR and systems for nucleic acid analysis, you are able to drive both product management and product development in a target-oriented way, including market requirements

- You are known for your good scientific understanding of the life science industry and competitive environment, preferably in the focus areas BioPharma, Cancer Research, and Microbiology

- You are known for your excellent communication skills in English as well as in German and communicate across hierarchies and departments with diverse partners and stakeholders; travel up to 20%.

- Your ability to quickly integrate into a highly competent, diverse and geographically dispersed team of molecular biologists, marketing experts, and sales colleagues makes you a valuable member
