Senior Supplier Quality and Development Engineer (m/f/d)

A global market leading manufacturing company are searching for a Senior Supplier Quality and Development engineer to join their team based in Dusseldorf. The organization employs over 20, 000 people worldwide and has revenues in excess of €4 billion. This position will be responsible for the EMEA regions where you will be leading both strategic & tactical SQD projects across the globe.

Responsibilities:

• Leading strategic & tactical SQD tasks on sourcing projects & supply chain optimisation
• Providing quality & technical support
• Working closely with the global SCM team, reporting into the Director.
• Evaluation and assessment of supplier capacity, capability stability and risk to develop the existing and new supply base.
• Leading supplier quality and development activities that will improve the overall quality of products and processes.
• Identifying technical quality issues by working with suppliers and internal stakeholders on cost reduction projects.
• Providing support to current Plant Quality and Supplier Quality Engineers. This is a senior level position which requires the candidate to coach current employees.
• Experience with lean manufacturing tools is required to lead & educate suppliers.

Experience Required:

• Bachelor's Degree within a similar field
• Quality or Engineering certificate is preferred.
• 7+ years of supplier quality experience, preferably within the manufacturing space
• Knowledge of a variety of mechanical manufacturing processes
