German Speaking Financial Specialist

To strengthen our finance department as part of a planned succession, we are looking for a structured and hands-on German-Speaking Financial Specialist / Financial Administrator (m/f/d) for a permanent position (full-time or part-time from 32 hours/week).
Your Responsibilities
- Smooth Succession: Take over key knowledge and operational duties from our retiring Senior Financial Administrator during a structured onboarding phase.
- Core Accounting: Manage accurate and timely financial accounting across our three German locations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bank accounting, credit cards, and travel expenses.
- Financial Closings: Prepare monthly financial statements independently and actively support the preparation of year-end closings.
- External Contact: Act as the main point of contact for tax advisors, auditors, and external partners.
- Process Digitalisation: Analyze financial KPIs, drive process optimization and digital transformation, and assist with ERP system developments (e.g., SAP implementation).
- Reporting & Advisory: Prepare regular financial reports for our Netherlands-based parent company and advise internal teams on financial matters.
Your Profile
- Education & Qualification: Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration OR a completed commercial apprenticeship (e.g., tax assistant / Steuerfachangestellte/r); advanced certifications (e.g., Certified Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter) are a plus.
- Professional Experience: 4+ years of hands-on, full-cycle financial accounting experience in a small-to-medium enterprise (SME) environment.
- Financial Closing Expertise: Proven track record in monthly and year-end closing processes.
- Systems & Tools: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Business Central, Navision, or similar) and advanced MS Office skills. Experience in SAP implementation is a plus.
- Languages: Fluent German skills and good professional proficiency in English (up to C1). Dutch language skills are an advantage.
- Mindset & Travel: Autonomous, highly structured, hands-on, and proactive mindset. Willingness to undertake occasional day trips to our other sites within Germany.
