About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and analytical (Senior) Investment Manager for Private Markets with a focus on Private Credit (m/f/d) to join FERI AG, one of the leading independent multi-asset investment specialists in the German-speaking region. Managing institutional client wealth since 1987, FERI combines traditional and alternative asset expertise with innovation and sustainability across eight locations in four countries.

In this high-impact role, you will take ownership of identifying, analyzing, and selecting top-tier private-market fund managers, driving comprehensive due diligence processes, and formulating robust investment recommendations for institutional clients and internal committees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manager Selection & Sourcing: Independently identify, analyze, and evaluate private market fund managers with a specialized focus on Private Credit strategies.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative due diligence assessments covering investment strategies, historical track records, team quality, fund structures, terms & conditions, and risk profiles.
  • Investment Recommendations: Prepare well-founded, institutional-grade investment proposals for internal decision-making committees and client mandates.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Actively monitor existing fund investments through ongoing performance analysis, liquidity planning, and customized portfolio reporting.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Create and present comprehensive investor reports, attend committee and client meetings, and support sales teams in acquiring new institutional clients through expert product presentations.
  • Market Research & Strategy Development: Produce forward-looking market analyses and actively contribute to the development of innovative investment concepts.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • Education: University degree (Bachelor's minimum, Master's preferred) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable quantitative field, ideally complemented by relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA).
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in the selection, analysis, and due diligence of Private Credit funds within an asset management, institutional investor, or advisory context.
  • Analytical Expertise: Exceptional financial analysis skills with a deep understanding of fund strategies, structures, manager quality, terms, and risk-return profiles.
  • Communication & Presentation: Ability to translate complex financial analyses into clear, compelling presentations for institutional stakeholders.
  • Language Skills: Professional proficiency in both German and English (C1 level minimum in both).
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced command of the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly expert-level Excel modeling/analysis and MS Teams collaboration.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Professional exposure to adjacent asset classes such as Infrastructure or Private Equity.
  • Background experience in M&A, Leveraged Loans, Debt Advisory, or Private Credit Secondary markets.

Working Environment & Location Policy

  • Office & Hybrid Setup: Based at FERI's modern headquarters in Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe. Offers a hybrid model with up to 2 home-office days per week (fully remote positions are not available).
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional international travel required for manager selection meetings and global industry networking.
