German Speaking Network & IT Administrator (m/f/d)

Location: Salem region / Lake Constance, Germany (Hybrid – 1 day remote weekly)

We are looking for a dedicated German-Speaking Network & IT Administrator (m/f/d) to manage our internal network, Linux server ecosystem, and IT security framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Operations: Maintain, optimize, and scale the company's internal IT systems, network setup, and server environments.
  • Network & Security Management: Configure and protect LAN/WAN networks, VPNs, and firewall systems to ensure high performance and data security.
  • Linux Administration: Manage Linux-based server landscapes, user directory permissions, and credential access.
  • Maintenance & Backups: Drive system rollouts, software updates, security patching, and disaster recovery backup protocols, including internal software platforms.
  • Employee Support & Onboarding: Deliver direct IT helpdesk assistance, diagnose technical glitches, and provision devices for new team members.
  • Client Project Prep: Configure hardware solutions for client deployments, with occasional on-site installation or maintenance trips (roughly 1–2 times annually).

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Higher education degree, vocational training in IT, or equivalent experience with 3+ years managing networks and Linux servers.
  • Technical Proficiency: Solid command of Linux environments (essential), network architectures (LAN/WAN/VPN), firewalls, and security standards (certificates, encryption).
  • Work Style: Sharp analytical problem-solving skills, methodical work habits, and a high level of accountability.
  • Languages & Clearance: Fluent German (C2/Native) and functional English (B2+). EU/NATO citizenship is mandatory to clear security vetting for sensitive client projects.
  • Commute: Based within 45–60 minutes of the Salem office or open to moving nearby (hybrid setup with max. 1 remote day weekly).
