Company Overview: Our client is a globally recognized leader and premier manufacturer of solar mounting and racking solutions, known for driving clean energy infrastructure across utility-scale and large commercial and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities
- Technical Consultation and Pre-Sales Support: Partner closely with the BD Manager to provide top-tier technical consultations, product presentations, and solutions to EPCs, IPPs, and project developers across Europe.
- Solution Design Coordination: Assess project-specific conditions (geotechnical, wind/snow loads, roof types), prepare initial standard structural proposals, and coordinate with the global engineering team for complex customized designs.
- Bridge between Europe and HQ: Act as the critical interface between European clients and internal R&D/technical teams, ensuring seamless communication of local compliance requirements, engineering standards, and technical feedback.
- Commercial Project Evaluation: Evaluate the technical feasibility and commercial viability of inbound project leads, judging the priority of client demands to help the team prioritize resource allocation.
- On-site Coordination and Support: Provide localized technical coordination during project execution, assisting with site questions, troubleshooting, and cross-departmental collaboration to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Market Intelligence: Maintain deep insight into European market trends, competitor movements, and local regulatory updates (e.g., Eurocodes), submitting structured weekly project and market reports.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or technical project management within the European solar (PV), energy storage (ESS), or renewable energy sector. Experience with solar mounting structures is a strong plus.
- Market and Customer Knowledge: Solid understanding of the European PV project lifecycle and familiarity with regional EPC, IPP, and developer networks.
- Language Skills: Native or business-fluent German (essential for technical client interaction) and fluent English (for international corporate communication).
- Technical and Soft Skills: Strong structural/technical comprehension (ability to interpret layouts, CAD drawings, and basic statics concepts); exceptional cross-cultural communication, negotiation, and resource-coordination skills.
- Work Style: Self-motivated with a high degree of result-orientation; comfortable with a remote/home-office setup and international cross-border collaboration.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the European region for client visits, project site assessments, and industry events.
