Lab Support Network Engineer Summer Trainee w Nokia, WROCŁAW

You will join the COO Business Unit and will enjoy our culture of innovation, openness, discipline, simplicity, accountability, and profit mindset. An exciting opportunity to work in the ever-changing Laboratory environment. As a member of the Laboratory Operations Team, for our Common Services and Infrastructure (COSI) unit, you will be a part of a team whose objectives are to deliver in an environment where openness, trust, and teamwork are encouraged. Our responsibilities include managing over 800 network devices, hosting more than 1000 Virtual Machines, and maintaining the Windows Active Directory domain. Cybersecurity is paramount, and we're dedicated to keeping our systems secure while also striving to automate routine lab tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of our team, you will:

  • install and maintenance of physical network equipment
  • do new installations, configurations, and troubleshooting of Network Services based on Cisco, Dell, Nokia, and PaloAlto devices
  • plan, design, and execute items in the laboratory area
  •  Coordinate activities within own responsibility area
  • Be coached by other team members in solving engineering problems
  • Typically participate in reviews of own or neighboring projects
  • May undertake technical training responsibilities
  • Work with internal customers being an interface to Development Units
  • Work will include daily cooperation with project managers in planning activities.

REQUIRED SKILLS

You should have: 

  • Active student status (for at least one year)
  • Good English and Polish, both spoken and written
  • Understanding of TCP/IP Protocols
  • Subnetting and IP Addressing
  • Basic Linux/Unix Skills
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Good organization of work
