Senior Data Engineer, REMOTE WROCLAW

Skills:

• Data & Engineering has been your world for at least 4-5 years  


• Cloud service platform expertise; preferably Azure  


• Databases (like SQL Server or Netezza) don’t have any secret for you 


• Knowledge of at least three of these services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Power BI, Spark, Python, Mongo DB, Azure Functions 


• You are comfortable working in a diverse, complex and fast-changing landscape of data sources 


• You care about agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and responsible experimentation. 


• Capacity to work in an international environment using English 


• Team player - having a sharing and collaborative mindset

We're on the lookout for a Senior Data Engineer for one of our key clients.

Job details:

• Full-time 


• Senior level 


• Start date: ASAP 


• 1st contract till the end of 2024 


• Extensions possible 


• Location: pref. Wroclaw area or close locations but open for 100% remote 

Scope:

Work on client’s applications to develop features and support internal users and processes by solving maintenance and data quality issues, and ensuring the efficient operation of our organization's systems.

• Proficiency in .NET 6 (.NET 7 or 8 appreciated, but .NET 7 is not LTS and .NET 8 is new so not a big pool of people available) 


• Azure Functions knowledge – understanding concepts of the cloud, serverless computing, triggers, bindings 


• Familiarity with RESTful API principles, HTTP methods, status codes 


• Familiarity with authentication mechanisms – mostly OAuth 


• Ability to use Version Control (Git) with Azure DevOps and Powershell scripts for CI/CD Pipelines 


• Being able to use Application Insights, Log Analytics and IBM API Connect DPOD to be able to read and understand logs 


• Knowledge of basic cloud networking – DNS, VNET, firewalls, WAF
