Embedded Software Engineer
- Degree in electronics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- More than 3 years of commercial experience in embedded software development.
- Strong C and modern C++, with CMake or a similar build system and cross-compilation. You can reason about memory, latency, and power budgets on constrained targets.
- Embedded Linux: you have built or customized an image (Yocto, Buildroot, or a vendor SDK) and are comfortable in user space.
- CI/CD and automated testing for embedded targets, and Python for tooling and automation.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills: you can trace a problem to its root cause.
- You have taken an open-ended problem from vague to released with little guidance, and you follow problems to their root cause.
- You are evidence- and data-driven: you measure before you decide, and let the results guide how you solve problems.
- You are driven by genuine curiosity about how things work. You pick up new tools, boards, and codebases quickly.
- You are independent and resourceful. Given a goal, you work out how to get there and unblock yourself.
- You do your best work with others: you share what you learn, ask for help early, and give credit freely.
