Head of Projects Warsaw Poland

On behalf of our client, a well established and growing Fintech Group, we are seeking an experienced Head of Projects to join their expanding team in Warsaw, Poland.

About the Role:

Reporting closely to senior leadership, the Head of Projects will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the organisation's project portfolio. Responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing the Project Management team, and establishing project governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices across the organisation.
• Acting as a trusted right hand to the COO / CIO, supporting and progressing the wider team's activities.
• Overseeing the successful delivery of strategic projects and programmes, ensuring alignment with business objectives, budgets, timelines, and resource availability.
• Driving continuous improvement of delivery standards, tools, and methodologies, with a strong focus on Agile and hybrid delivery models.
• Providing leadership, mentoring, and performance management to Project Managers and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Partnering with senior leadership to translate strategic objectives into executable project roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
• Establishing and maintaining executive-level reporting on project health, risks, dependencies, and resource utilisation.
• Managing relationships with key stakeholders, executive leadership, and third-party vendors.
• Fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and delivery excellence.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in Project Management, including at least 3 years as a Head of Projects or in a similar leadership capacity.
• A proven track record of managing complex project portfolios and leading cross-functional teams in technology-driven environments.
• Experience within FinTech, Financial Services, Gaming, or other highly regulated industries is considered a strong advantage.
• Excellent command of English and Polish, both written and verbal.
• Strong expertise in project governance, portfolio management, resource planning, budgeting, and risk management.
• A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and technology project delivery.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at executive and board level.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while driving strategic change and operational excellence.
• Must be based in Poland.
