Lead Robotics Engineer Space, REMOTE
- MSc or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong experience in architecture and development of software for flight and ground systems
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for embedded Linux environments
- Direct experience with satellite or spacecraft software development
- Experience in verification, validation, and integration of flight systems
- End-to-end experience: from requirements definition to space-qualified, launch-ready solutions
- Understanding of space environment constraints on hardware and software design
- Familiarity with spacecraft communication protocols (CCSDS, CAN, SpaceWire)
- Experience building real-time and autonomous systems (spacecraft, UAVs, autonomous vehicles, etc.)
- Experience with simulation tools (Isaac Sim, Omniverse, ANSYS, MATLAB, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with HITL testing or low-level hardware interfacing
- Familiarity with FPGA development (VHDL/Verilog, Vivado, ModelSim)
- Strong analytical skills with solid mathematical foundations and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, including client-facing and C-level interactions
- Collaborative mindset with a hands-on approach and knowledge-sharing attitude
About the role
In this role, you will design and lead the development of advanced robotics and software systems for space and terrestrial applications. Working within SoftServe’s Robotics Group, you will contribute to the architecture, development, and validation of flight and ground systems, combining robotics, embedded software, and high-fidelity simulation. You will play a key role in shaping next-generation space robotics solutions through research, prototyping, and production-ready implementations.
