Oracle Unix Infrastructure Lead, KRAKÓW
The role sits within an infrastructure engineering team covering Database Administration and Unix/Linux Systems Administration. You will lead delivery end to end, from intake and prioritisation through execution and reporting, building consistent ways of working that improve stability, performance and efficiency. Working with Architecture, Product Owners, Engineering and Operations, you will improve platform reliability, standardise practices, strengthen monitoring and ensure high availability of critical systems. You will also lead a mixed team of permanent and contract engineers, grow DBA and system administration skills, and drive continuous improvement with clear technical standards.
About you:
- 3+ years leading engineers/technical specialists and providing technical direction in an enterprise environment
- Proven experience transforming a team into a high-performing function
- Strong DBA (Oracle & Postgres) and/or Unix/Linux Skills
- Proven experience maintaining highly available, low-latency systems in
a regulated industry (preferably banking, fintech or insurance) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (performance troubleshooting, stability, capacity, incident analysis)
- Working experience in Agile methodologies
- Ability to work independently and within a diverse team environment
