Senior Cost Accountant, POZNAŃ


  • Solid background in accounting, ideally gained in a manufacturing or SSC environment

  • Practical experience with inventory valuation, product costing or a broader cost accounting scope 

  • Confident SAP user

  • Very good command of English (min. B2)

  • Understanding of US GAAP and/or statutory reporting requirements

  • Analytical mindset and a hands-on approach to problem solving

  • Team player who communicates easily across departments and enjoys improving the way things are done

For our client - an international manufacturing company with a well-established Shared Services Centre in Poznań - we are currently looking for an experienced accounting professional to join their EMEA finance team as a Senior Cost Accountant.

,[Managing the end-to-end inventory accounting process, from valuation through to reporting, in line with IFRS, US GAAP and local statutory requirements, Preparing inventory valuations and product cost calculations, and ensuring their accuracy and consistency, Investigating variances in inventory balances, preparing adjustments and explaining movements to stakeholders, Overseeing the GRIR account and ensuring timely clearing of open items, Taking an active part in monthly and annual closing, including reconciliations of inventory-related accounts, Acting as a first point of contact for inventory accounting queries from other finance teams and the business, Ensuring compliance with internal control requirements (SOX) and keeping process documentation up to date, Bringing ideas for simplification and automation of existing processes - and helping put them into practice] Requirements: Accounting, SAP, SSC, US GAAP, Reporting requirements, Problem-Solving, Communication skills
