Senior Software Engineer Distributed Infrastructure Warsaw, WARSZAWA
Required:
- 5+ years of experience building backend or infrastructure systems
- Strong proficiency in at least one of: C++, Python, or Java
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, data storage, and system design at scale
- Experience delivering production systems in high-traffic, reliability-critical environments
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to navigate ambiguous problems
- Professional English (B2+)
Nice to have:
- Experience at companies with large-scale distributed infrastructure (e.g. Snowflake, Netflix, Atlassian, Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, Bolt, Samsung R&D, Akamai, or similar)
- Background in high-availability or mission-critical systems
- Experience working cross-functionally with non-engineering stakeholders
- Exposure to logistics, autonomous systems, or large-scale platform engineering
- Experience with embedded systems, image processing, or computer vision
Note on C++: If your systems background is strong but you haven't worked extensively in C++ — we expect you to ramp up quickly. Strong fundamentals matter more than a specific language.
Education
We value strong engineering education - degrees in Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunications, or related fields from technical universities. Practical experience and the ability to operate at scale matter most.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our Distributed Infrastructure team in Warsaw.
You will design, build, and own scalable, production-grade backend systems that power critical operations at global scale. This role sits at the heart of our infrastructure - distributed systems, backend architecture, high-availability services, and internal tooling - working closely with product, operations, and engineering teams worldwide.

Total Annual Compensation (Base + Bonus + Equity where applicable):
- Senior Engineer: 316,000 – 460,000 PLN gross
- Senior+ / Tech Lead: 430,000 – 630,000 PLN gross
- Staff Engineer: 680,000 – 860,000 PLN gross
Final level and offer depend on experience, technical scope, and interview performance.
