Senior UNIX Administrator, KRAKÓW

For one of our Clients operating in the global financial services sector, we are seeking talented professionals to join long-term strategic initiatives.

Ideal candidate should have:

  • Strong Linux server administration expertise (primarily RHEL) with 6–10 years’ experience (SLES and Solaris x86/SPARC desirable).
  • Industry-standard UNIX certifications (as referenced in the role profile).
  • Proven Linux administration and architecture experience, including volume managers, multipathing and kernel parameter tuning.
  • Strong scripting/automation skills (shell / Perl / Python).
  • Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting of Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas Cluster Server (required).
  • Strong infrastructure background including x86 hardware and virtualisation platforms (VMware, Citrix, HyperV).
  • Storage experience configuring filesystems on NAS and EMC SAN (standalone and clustered), including replication.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts/technology (e.g., TCP/UDP, LAN/WAN, F5, VIPs, firewalls, Cisco).
  • Experience working in a major enterprise and/or a highly regulated environment (e.g., Financial Services).
  • Experience with DevOps / configuration management tooling (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams; able to explain complex topics clearly to varied audiences.
  • Self-management skills: prioritising effectively, meeting deadlines, and working well under pressure.
  • Good understanding of operational discipline (ITIL concepts/service operations beneficial) and a track record of improving how things are done.
