Software Engineer Kotlin/Android Store Fulfilment

You will need:

  • Around 3-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer developing mobile applications for Android.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin.
  • Knowledge of application architectures and the ability to apply them in practice.
  • Experience with libraries and tools such as: Jetpack Compose, Hilt/Dagger/Koin, Coroutines/Flow, Retrofit/OkHttp/Ktor.
  • Strong awareness of code quality: TDD, unit/instrumentation tests, UI tests, familiarity with testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso, MockK, Robolectric, Wiremock).
  • Practical experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD or similar), build and test automation.
  • Working with Agile environment
  • Demonstrate excellent understanding of language & framework and a good working knowledge of the abstraction layer underneath
  • Take a business problem and come up with the technical strategy (push vs pull etc, real time vs batches, sync vs async) within the team, high level design and lead the implementation
  • Need minimal directions or guidance and collaborate with SDEs across teams working on the same or similar business problem
  • Consistently lead delivery of valuable features
  • Continually propose and drive improvements
  • Help elaborate requirements where necessary

About the role


As part of the store distribution engineering team, you will get the opportunity to work on the software applications and services that ensure our stores have the products our customers need. The work you do will improve the colleague experience in our depots and drive improved efficiencies to our extensive fulfilment network. And when it comes to ideas, we’re as ambitious as you are.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Android application development, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating high-quality mobile experiences. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions. Operating in a fast-paced agile environment, you will focus on code quality, security, performance, and user experience while continuously enhancing both the platform and development practices.
