About NAVTOR
NAVTOR is a global leader in maritime technology, providing innovative e-Navigation and performance solutions for the maritime sector. We make life easier for navigators while enhancing safety, transparency and efficiency for shipowners, ship managers and operators worldwide.
A few things we're proud of:
- In 2012 we released the world's first type-approved Pay As You Sail ENC service
- In 2014 we launched NavStation — the world's first digital chart table
- Headquartered in Egersund, Norway, we've grown into a global network spanning Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Poland, Singapore, Japan, the US, India and the UK
NAVTOR Poland, our engineering hub in Gdańsk, is one of the fastest-growing parts of the organisation — around 40 engineers building the software behind our e-Navigation and fleet performance products, and still growing.
The role
We're looking for a technically-fluent Product Owner to own the backlog for our Performance products — a portfolio at the heart of how ship operators optimise their fleets. You'll be the single point of accountability for what the team builds and in what order, translating business needs and roadmap direction into clear, high-value work.
This is a role for someone who's genuinely comfortable in a technical space:
- reasoning about APIs, integrations and data contracts,
- holding technical requirements with your development team,
- discussing trade-offs with developers and architects — without being the one writing the code.
You'll work as part of a cross-functional Scrum Team in Gdańsk, in close collaboration with Product Managers and stakeholders across our international organisation.
Why join us
- Real ownership — your decisions directly shape products used across the global shipping industry
- A technical environment that takes engineering seriously
- A growing company with stable Norwegian roots and a genuinely international reach
If that sounds like you — we'd love to hear from you.
