Junior Data Engineer
- A strong analytical mindset and a passion for solving complex data engineering challenges
- Solid computer science fundamentals or experience with functional programming languages (Haskell, Clojure, Scala) OR vectorization skills in Python, R, Matlab, or Wolfram
- Interest in large datasets, data modeling, and statistical concepts
- Familiarity or willingness to learn Linux, Cloud infrastructure, and AI/ML integration
- Ability to own tasks from requirements gathering to implementation and testing with cooperative engagement
- Excellent problem-solving skills, proactive attitude, and strong communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in financial services or trading environments
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and distributed systems
- Exposure to kdb+/q or interest in building expertise

You will join the AI Markets development team, responsible for providing reporting, analytics, and management information from multiple data sources to a diverse set of users, including senior management, quants, traders, and external clients.
A key component of this solution is kdb+, one of the most advanced time-series databases where speed and performance at scale are critical. You will work with large datasets and real-time systems, focusing on data engineering, performance optimization, and API integration.
