Senior Data Scientist
- Senior-level data science experience, typically 5+ years in data science, advanced analytics or a related field
- Strong Python skills and practical experience with pandas and core data science libraries
- Experience developing regression models, statistical models, segmentations and machine learning solutions
- Strong understanding of statistics, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering and model evaluation
- Experience with data mining processes, data preparation and data scraping
- Ability to work with messy, real-world business data and convert it into useful analytical outputs
- Experience working in consulting or client-facing delivery environments
- Strong English communication skills and confidence working with UK-based stakeholders
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure-based data/AI services
- Experience with Palantir Foundry
- Experience with PySpark, SQL, XGBoost, time-series forecasting or NLP
- Experience with data visualisation using Matplotlib, Seaborn or Plotly
- Experience supporting sales, bid, commercial or business-performance analytics
- Knowledge of Git, Docker or productionisation of data science models

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support internal Jacobs initiatives across MSA Mining and Sales Data Science. This role will combine predictive modelling, statistical analysis, machine learning and data mining with consulting-style collaboration across the UK market. You will help build models that improve understanding of business systems and support data-driven commercial decisions.
