Required qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management or Software Asset Management
  • Understanding of Software Asset Management processes, Audit and Information Security, and Risk Management principles
  • Understanding of business area strategic goals, processes, and workflows
  • Ability to make appropriate technical decisions and initiate actions to resolve operational issues
  • Experience working with SAM and discovery tools such as ServiceNow, Flexera, or Snow License Manager

Preferred

  • SAM or ITAM certifications (e.g., CSAM, CITAM) and/or Audit or Information Security certifications (e.g., M.Inst.ISP, CISM, CISSP, CISA, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of licensing models, terms, and conditions for vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SAP, and Adobe
  • Understanding of service management and process improvement methodologies
  • Experience in stakeholder management, communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving

About the role

Software Asset Management (SAM) Expert will be focused on assuring Tech license compliance. The role is an advisory role for software licensing for all internal users, helping Businesses to make decisions on license models when purchasing new software. The role also leads audits held by external audit bodies and Software Publishers. The role cooperates closely with Procurement, Legal and Software Publisher Owners ensuring Haleon owns appropriate licenses, purchased for the best value and that they are used by users according to agreed and signed contracts.

The role will assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to run SAM service at optimal levels of assets. The SAM Expert will be responsible for designing metrics and sharing reporting that reflects the ongoing portfolio of work and purchased licenses.
