Test Automation Engineer

For one of our Clients operating in the global financial services sector, we are seeking talented professionals to join long-term strategic initiatives.

In this role you’ll deliver high-quality mobile releases by designing, building, and maintaining automated tests (primarily) within Agile delivery streams, while also performing targeted manual and exploratory testing where automation isn’t the best fit.

Ideal candidate should have:

• Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks using Cucumber, Selenium.
• Solid programming experience in Java with good test engineering practices (clean code, maintainability, reusability).
• Experience with automated testing on browsers and mobile devices (iOS and Android).
• API testing (manual and automation).
• Proven ability to create effective test cases and execute testing across real devices and/or device farms.
• Experience using GitHub (or equivalent), CI/CD pipelines, and defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Strong understanding of client/server interactions (APIs, network behaviour, environments, test data considerations).
• Experience testing applications with users configured with different permissions/roles.

Desirable experience:

• Familiarity with accessibility testing and tagging/analytics validation for mobile applications.
• Familiarity with Appium is a plus.
• Exposure to performance and/or reliability testing on web platforms.
• Experience coordinating a QA team’s work (planning, prioritisation, reporting, and supporting consistent ways of working).
• Strong interest in mobile technology and demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of devices and operating systems.
