Senior Search Engineer Solr Elasticsearch

Must-haves:

• Hands-on experience with Apache Solr and Querqy or deep knowledge of Elasticsearch/OpenSearch with a readiness to switch.


• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin paired with Spring Boot or similar frameworks.


• Practical experience in implementing vector search and hybrid search solutions.


• Proven ability to use language models for advanced query understanding.


• Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.


• Practical knowledge of AWS cloud environment and Docker.


• Strong background in building and scaling search systems within complex domains.


• Openness to utilizing AI tools to enhance productivity and a drive to quickly adapt to new technological trends.


• Excellent English skills (minimum B2+) with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with e-commerce platforms.
• Knowledge of German is a plus.
